Prostate Cancer Program at The Robert and Beverly Lewis Family Cancer
Care Center provides individuals with a state-of-the-art comprehensive
treatment program. From early diagnosis to control of advanced disease,
we have the knowledge, expertise, technology and compassion to help you.
Our Goal:

- To review all available treatment options
- To help answer your questions
So you can make the best decision for you.
Prostate Cancer treatment options include:
- Surgery
- Permanent interstitial radioactive seed implant
- Temporary High Dose Radiation interstitial radioactive implant
- Temporary Low Dose Rate interstitial radioactive implant
- 3 Dimensional conformal external beam radiation treatments
- Hormonal and Chemotherapy treatments
- or a combination of the above to best meet each individual's needs.
- Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
Appointments:
Appointments
for these services are made through the Cancer Care Center. Insurance
organizations, in most cases, pay for the consultation and second opinions.
Pre-authorization is required by some health care plans.
How Our Program
is Different:
The dedicated Prostate Nurse Coordinator will guide you through the (sometimes
confusion and complicated) health care maze. Our Nurse is available to discuss your treatment options and
answer your questions. Support groups offering education and networking
are available on a continual basis.
