Breast Health Program at The Robert and Beverly Lewis Family Cancer Care
Center provides individuals with a state-of-the-art comprehensive treatment
program. From prevention to early diagnosis to control of advanced disease,
we have the knowledge, expertise, technology and compassion to help you.
Our Goal:
To offer easy access to a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach to
the most current, effective and compassionate care for all aspects of
breast health.
Services:
- Education and Outreach to the Community including classes on Breast
Self-Examination, Early Detection, Treatment and advances in Care.
- Breast Diagnostic Services - Mammography, Ultrasound, Stereotactic
Biopsies
- Specialized Surgeons - Biopsy, Lumpectomy, Sentinel Node, Mastectomy,
Breast Reconstruction (immediate and delayed)
- Medical Oncology - Including second opinions for treatment options
- High Risk/Genetic Counseling
- Nutrition Counseling - before, during and after treatment*
- Support Groups for newly diagnosed, recurrence and survivor issues
- Free Wig Program
- Complementary Therapies including Imagery and Yoga
- Wellness Programs
- Dedicated Breast Health Nurse and Coordinator
- Counseling to help you cope with diagnosis
- Clinical Trials
Appointments:
Appointments for these services are made directly with the individual
specialist or service. Please check with your health care insurance carrier
to insure coverage.
How Our Program is Different:
The dedicated Breast Health Nurse Coordinator will help guide and coordinate
your care between the physician offices, hospital and out-patient services
at the Cancer Care Center. She can provide education and support for you
and your family as you deal with all aspects of a cancer diagnosis. Our
full-spectrum of services support you through every step, from prevention
to any initial diagnosis through treatment, survival and recovery.
